The college started functioning in HANSI, in 1970, offering seven subjects with few students. Now there are approximately 1408 students studying in various streams. Prominent among the courses offered presently are B.A., B.Com, B.Sc. Non-Medical, M.Com., M.A English, M.A Yoga. Courses like B.Com., M.Com., B.Sc.(Non-Medical) provide excellent opportunities in the areas of Banking, Indian Economic Services, research, Business, Self-employment, and State and Central government Services. The study of Language opens up various opportunities in the area of Journalism, Public Relations, Writing, Translation, and Mass Communication. By achieving excellence in sports our students are getting good jobs in Govt. Sector and private sector too. Through Fashion Designing course. We are enhancing the possibility and employability in various sectors and giving chances to girls for self-employment too. The laboratories are upgraded and other infrastructure is also being added as needed on the regular basis. Most of the students belong to backward rural areas of Haryana. Their parents are reluctant to send their daughters to co-educational colleges. This college has been catering to the needs of this conservative section of Society. The safe and secure environment of the college encourages parents to send their daughters for higher education.
The Vision of the Institute focuses on four aspects essentially: Quality and Value-based Education, overall Personality Development, exploration of knowledge and to production of good human beings for the nation. The Institute has established its distinctive approach towards this comprehensive Vision. The vision of the college is to develop the college in all modern facilities and incorporate new streams of study. The college is striving continuously towards achieving this goal. With limited resources and infrastructure, the college has created a milestone.
To achieve the vision, the college constantly focuses on improving its infrastructure and resources. The college tries to uplift the downtrodden and socio-economically weaker students by providing the benefits of the schemes announced by the government such as:

These aims and objectives are communicated through lectures, seminars, NSS, Personality Development Programmes, Red Cross society, formation of subjects societies, Youth Festival, Sports, Legal Literacy Cell, Women Cell, Placement and Career Guidance Cell, Computer knowledge, etc. Such activities have been incorporated as an integral part of the curriculum.
The college is distinctive as regards academics, culture & sports. With the thrust of academic excellence, the Institution motivates and supports students to participate in various district/ zonal and state-level competitions. The students of the college have earned a reputation in the state. Cultural activities are non-academic pursuits that provide students a platform to explore their interests and develop aesthetically, artistically, historically, intellectually, or socially. Different types of activities are carried out in college such as sports, music, dance, painting, acting, festivals celebrations, etc. in continuation with this college exploring for excellence in culture & sports. Through various activities, the college excels in various sports events, like athletics, kabaddi, cross country, weight lifting, karate, etc. many students of the college have represented the college at inter-college, state, national, and interuniversity levels and have achieved top positions. The college has an athletic track, open gym, kabbadi court to facilitate students for their need and aim.
